Abraham-Hicks – Ask And It Is Given
The emotions that you feel are always and only about your allowing of your energy stream. It’s sort of like plugging the toaster in. If the toaster isn’t plugged in, it doesn’t make toast.
If you are not connected to who you really are, you don’t feel the joy that is natural to you. And so many people for so long have given all kinds of other reasons for the way they feel. “I feel this way because of you,” or “I feel this way because of that,” or “I feel this way because I’ve won the lottery,”or “I feel this way because I bought a new car,” or “I feel this way becauseI’m drunk.”
And what we are wanting to say to you is, you feel the way you feel *always*because of the allowance or disallowance of the vibration connection to the Source energy stream that is you. Period. That’s all it’s ever, ever, ever been.

“Whatever you are thinking about is like planning a future event. When you are appreciating, you are planning. When you are worrying, you are planning. (Worrying is using your imagination to create something you do not want.)
Ask and It Is Given
Abraham is saying that the guest should say to himself,
“I think the only way I can ever become a really good focuser is to focus outside the vortex for awhile and see how it feels, and then focus inside the vortex and feel the results. I don’t think I’ve been a slacker, I think I’ve been a collector of data. I think I have been a collector of experience. I have been a launcher of desires. I think I’ve been doing a whole lot of step 1 work. I’ve filled my vortex full of things I want. I wouldn’t call that a slacker!
I’ve been going about life the hard way. Life outside the vortex is thousands of times harder than life inside the vortex.
I don’t deserve the label of slacker… I’d call that misinformed. I’d call that trying to please others. I would call it going about it the hard way. But I have never been a slacker.
I have NEVER been a slacker! And now I am going to apply my same ability to focus with the Laws of the Universe. And just because it is easier, I will not call myself a slacker.
I’m going to utilize the energy that creates worlds. I’m going to use the leverage of alignment. I’m going to discover what a cooperative universe is really like. I’m going to be in the vortex, thinking my way into alignment, thinking my way into productivity, thinking my way into the success I want. Thinking and feeling my way there!
Others looking at me who see me know longer paying the price of being out of the vortex, THEY’re going to call me the slacker.”
They’re going to say, “How in the world can things be so easy? You do not look like you are paying the price at all anymore!”
And then I’ll explain to them, “I was confused about this slacker thing, too. Turns out that we are supposed to live well and life is supposed to be good for us. And there is a Universal Force that is set up to accommodate us. And all we have to do is find a way to get into alignment with it, you see. And I was so busy trying to prove my worthiness that I help myself in vibrational resistance to the ease. And I just got all frustrated and worn down and then I stopped trying. That’s all that happened!”
But now, think about what you know NOW!
If you intend to be of assistance, your eye is not upon the trouble but upon the assistance, and that is quite different. When you are looking for a solution, you are feeling positive emotional but when you are looking at a problem, you are feeling negative emotion.
“Do you have to change your vibration on a particular subject in order to let it in?” No, you don’t. You could pet your pet and let it in. You could sit with your feet dangling in the bay, and let it in. If it is a subject that you often think of in an attitude of resistance, it is really worthwhile reaching for some thoughts that feel better. You could launch an intention and never think about it again, and the Universe would yield it to you. You don’t have to clean up your vibration relative to anything, if you can just not think about it any more. That’s why we teach meditation.
It’s easier to teach you to have no thought than to have pure positive thought. When you quiet your mind you stop thought; when you stop thought you stop resistance; when you stop resistance–then you are in a state of allowing.
